Gifberg and Matzikammaberg
At the norther extention of the Cedarberg mountains and immediately south of Van Rhynsdorp lies a somewhat segregated montane island. This is renowned for its unique flora its dramatic scenery and its beautiful streams. Decimated for Rooibos farming, the main remaining section is the Matzikammaberg that is a private nature reserve owned largely by botanist-extraordinnaire Nick Helme.
