Long etymology:
Rhizomatous geophyte to 60 cm. Leaves linear, channelled, margins ciliate. Flowers in a narrow, cylindrical raceme, white, with musty odour. Sept.--Oct. Shale flats in renosterveld, SW, AP, LB (Botrivier to Riversdale).
