This is a brilliantly laid book with a modern design with different sections both between chapters and within pages. There is significant information allowing one to determine a species through multiple pictures of a species, descriptions, measurements of many species, habitat preferences, medicinal properties, common names in multiple languages as well as etymologies. Some characteristics are reduced to icons for simplicity and clarity. It covers 690 species in 91 families with more than 2000 photographs. For anyone working in wetlands, this is a comprehensive manual.
