Being a relatively unhospitable and dry section of South Africa, the 6th South African Wild Flower Guide is an important contribution to our knowledge of this area. It contains 400 watercolour paintings life-size paintings together with descriptions in a field-guide sized book. The descriptions are brief, but include distributional descriptions, habitats, utility and frequently palatibility. Nearly every species has either an Afrikaans or English common name.
