
Bokkeveld Plateau
Covering the high-lying escarpment from the northern Cedarberg to north of Niewoudtville. The vegetation is predominatly Cedarberg Sandstone Fynbos in the south, Bokkeveld Sandstone Fynbos in the north and interspersed with succulent karoo vegetation, The area is heavily and increasingly utilized for rooibos farming which poses the greatest threat to the flora. Succulents and bulbs are rich in the area and endemism is high with many threatened species.
