Lion's Head, Lion's Rump and Signal Hill
This is a small mountain (669m) with spectacular views overlooking Cape Town and NW of Table Mountain. It has renosterveld vegetation on the lower and mid slopes, grading into fynbos vegetation. It hosts a number of rare and endemic species. It takes about an hour to walk to the top and features some exciting scrambles with the optional assistance of chains. It is particularly popular with locals over full-moon as a night hike. It also affords views over Table Bay, Robben Island, the Cape Flats, to the front face of Table Mountain and along the Twelve Apostles.
