Etymology of Aloinopsis:
Aloina (q.v.); Gk. -iopsis = resembling; because some original species, now moved to Nananthus, resemble Aloe.
Etymology of loganii:
Likely named after the previous 'Laird' of Matjiesfontein, James Douglas Logan who founded The Lord Milner Hotel at Matjiesfontein in 1899. He died in 1920 and was buried at a graveyard 10km away.
