Trailing, mat-forming subshrub to 10 cm. Leaves decussate, lanceolate, sometimes hairy. Flowers solitary and terminal, 5-lobed, yellowish. Oct.--Jan. Shale bands at high altitude, NW, SW (Cedarberg Mts to Jonkershoek).
