Shrub to 1 m. Leaves to 50 7 mm. Flowers white, opening at dusk, closing near dawn. Fruits slender below, conical to hemisperical above. Sept.--Nov. Sandy places, occ. among rocks, NW, KM, LB, SE (S Namibia to E Cape).
