Erect or sprawling shrub to 1.5 m. Leaves 3-foliolate, leaflets oblong-elliptic, grey-silky or subglabrous. Flowers in terminal spikes, pale to bright yellow, keel silky, calyx silky. Aug.--Jan. Coastal, lowland and mountain fynbos, below 1000 m, NW, SW, LB (Matsikamma to Mossel Bay).
