Tufted perennial to 30 cm with scabrid stems. Leaves filiform to linear, silky at base. Flower heads discoid, in dense corymbs or panicles, purple, pink or white, bracts scabrid and sticky. Oct.--Nov. Sandy flats and slopes, NW, SW, AP, KM, LB, SE (Cedarberg Mts to Grahamstown).
