Twining tuberous perennial. Leaves linear to lanceolate, lightly toothed. Flowers in the upper axils, bilabiate, laterally slit, white to mauve, 7--12 mm long, stamens 6--7 mm long, all anthers bearded. Mainly Sept.--Oct. Stony slopes, KM, SE (Swartberg Mts to KwaZulu-Natal).
