Hairy annual or biennial to 65 cm. Basal leaves ovate to oblanceolate, lateral veins prominent. Flowers blue fading to pink, oblique and unequally lobed, sparsely hairy on the veins and margins. Sept.--Mar. Disturbed sites, NW, SW, LB, AP, KM, SE (European weed, widespread in Africa).
