Dioecious shrub or small tree to 6 m. Leaves leathery, obovate. Flowers in glabrous axillary racemes, deeply cleft, cream, fragrant, ovary shortly bristly. Dec.--June. Coastal scrub, NW, SW, AP, LB, SE (Namaqualand to E Cape).
