Cormous geophyte, 20--35 cm, tunics papery. Leaves linear. Flowers long-tubed, funnel-shaped, dark pink with red and white markings on the lower tepals. Oct.--Nov., mainly after fire. Marshes on sandstone slopes, SW (Cape Peninsula and Jonkershoek Mts).
