Etymology of Helichrysum:
Gk. (h)elios = sun; chrysos = gold; referring to the bright yellow flowerheads of many of the flowers of species in this genus.
Etymology of recurvatum:
Latin, from Greek helikhrusos, from helix ‘spiral’ + khrusos ‘gold’. It originally denoted a yellow-flowered plant, possibly Helichrysum stoechas .
