Short etymology:
For Henri Jacques-Félix (1907–2008), French botanist, tropical agronomist, explorer and plant collector who worked in West Africa (Guinea, Ivory Coast, Cameroon) and was affiliated with the Musée National d’Histoire Naturelle, Paris, France. He authored La Vie et La Mort du Lac Tchad (The Life and Death of Lake Chad) (1947), Géographie des Dénudations et Dégradations du Sol au Cameroun (Geography of Denudation and Degradation of Soil in Cameroon) (1950) and Les graminées (Poaceae) d’Afrique Tropicale (Grasses in Tropical Africa) (1962), among many others.
