Resprouting dioecious shrub to 1.3 m. Leaves linear-oblanceolate, 25--63 mm long (male), 27--80 mm long (female), involucral leaves larger, ivory or pale green. Male flower heads c. 18 mm diam., female 13--15 mm diam., lemon-scented. Aug.--Oct. Sandstone slopes, NW, SW, LB, SE (Gifberg to KwaZulu-Natal).
