Rounded shrub to 1.3 m, with spreading branches. Leaves oblong-lanceolate, with 1--3 apical teeth. Flower heads depressed globose, 90--150 mm diam., pink, style c. 50 mm long, pollen presenter ovoid. Sept.--Jan. Rocky slopes, NW, SW (Cedarberg Mts to Dutoitskloof).
