Etymology of Nananthus:
Gk. nanos = dwarf; anthos = flower; referring to the small size of the flowers.
Etymology of loganii:
Likely named after the previous 'Laird' of Matjiesfontein, James Douglas Logan who founded The Lord Milner Hotel at Matjiesfontein in 1899. He died in 1920 and was buried at a graveyard 10km away.
