Synonym status:
Shrublet to 30 cm. Leaves cordate to round with margin variously incised, leathery, glaucous and usually with a reddish zonal marking, c. 3 cm diam. Flowers 2--3, c. 25 mm diam., pink, on short, branching peduncles; hypanthium 15--20 mm long, slightly longer than the pedicel. Sept.--Mar. Sandstone slopes in fynbos, NW, SW (Cedarberg to Langeberg Mts).
