Twiggy shrub to 2 m, silky on the young parts. Leaves ovate-lanceolate, 4--8 mm long, recurved above the middle, margins closely revolute. Flowers in rounded spikes, subtended by densely villous bracts, whitish, sessile. Aug.--Dec. Sandstone slopes, NW (Olifants River Mts to Piketberg).
