Closely leafy shrub or small tree to 3 m. Leaves lanceolate, rounded to cordate at base, 5--10 mm long, margins revolute. Flowers in dense, headlike racemes, pink to purple. Apr.--Oct. Sandstone slopes, often on forest margins, SW, KM, LB, SE (Swartberg Mts and Bredasdorp to Humansdorp).
