Dioecious, evergreen dwarf shrub to 60 cm. Leaves trifoliolate, leaflets sessile, stiff, obovate, coarsely toothed above. Flowers whitish. Drupes tricuspidate, smooth. Sept.--Oct. Rocky slopes, NW, SW (Clanwilliam to Caledon).
