Dioecious, deciduous shrub to 3 m. Leaves trifoliolate, leaflets sessile, ovate, discolorous, margins deeply lobed or shallowly dentate. Flowers greenish-yellow. Drupes ellipsoid, hairy. June. Clay soils, NW, SW, AP, KM, LB, SE (Richtersveld to Komgha).
