Dioecious, evergreen shrub or small tree to 6 m. Leaves trifoliolate, leaflets stalked, obovate, discolorous, often toothed. Flowers cream. Drupes ellipsoid, hairy. July--Aug. Rocky slopes, NW, SW, AP, KM, LB, SE (Clanwilliam to Zimbabwe).
