Short etymology:
Named after the ‘Sani Pass’ located in the west of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, a road between Underberg, KwaZulu-Natal and Mokhotlong, Lesotho. The ‘Pass’ itself is a challenging drive usually by 4x4 vehicles especially in bad weather. It rises 1332 metres from bottom to top.
