Etymology of Stoeberia:
For Ernst Stöber, (1889–?), German teacher and botanical explorer in (then) South-West Africa who taught at the Lüderitz Primary School, Namibia, during between 1923 and 1924. He would have been acquainted with Moritz Kurt Dinter (1868–1945), who was in Namibia at that time.
