Species Tarchonanthus littoralis
Pictures from Observations
Etymology of Tarchonanthus:
Gk. tarchos = funeral rite; anthos = flower; presumably from the camphorous odour of the leaves (Jackson) as used in incense sticks in places of worship.
Etymology of littoralis:
From the Latin littoris = 'coast', 'shore'. i.e. 'coastal', growing near the sea-shore
