Long etymology:
Rhizomatous perennial. Fronds arching, coriaceous, stipe paleate, sterile lamina elliptic, pinnate, proximal pinnae decrescent, narrowly oblong-attenuate, entire, sessile, fertile lamina elliptic, pinnate, pinnae linear, sessile. Sori extending most of the length of the fertile pinnae, indusium erose. Wet shady sites, streams and in forests, 100--800 m, SW, LB, SE (Cape Peninsula to E Africa and Madagascar).
