Etymology of Caralluma:
Caralluma is named from the Arabian qarh alluhum = a flesh wound or abscess; perhaps referring to the erect, fleshy, diffusely branched stem.
Etymology of nebrownii:
Possibly named after Professor Neville Brown (8 April 1932 - 28 May 2018), a Doctor of Science in Applied Geophysics.
