Etymology of Deinbollia:
For Peter Vogelius Deinboll (1783–1874), Danish clergyman, member of parliament, entomologist and collector. He was born in Denmark but lived in Norway. His collection of insects found in the Natural History Museum in Oslo is one of the oldest collections in the museum.
Etymology of oblongifolia:
From Latin oblong - a simple leaf that is rounded at each end with parallel sides; and folia = a leaf.
