Densely grey-woolly shrublet to 25 cm. Leaves linear and d adpressed, four--ranked, the margins involute, densely white-woolly above. Flower heads radiate, in small terminal, loosely aggregated clusters, 4--6-flowered, white with purple disc, pappus bristles plumose, ray florets female. Sept.--Apr. Rocky sandstone slopes and ridges above 1200 m, KM, SE (Witteberg and Swartberg Mts to Langkloof).
