Reseeding, single-stemmed, occ. multi-stemmed shrub to 3 m. Leaves oblanceolate to obovate. Flowers 7--12 in racemes, yellow, bracts longer than the pedicel, clasping the base of the calyx. Aug.--Apr. Mountain fynbos, 300--1070 m, LB, SE (Langeberg to Kareedouw Mts).
