Etymology of Orbea:
La. orbis = ring, circle, disk; probably a reference to the well-developed annulus (ring-shaped structure).
Etymology of rangeana:
Commemorating Paul Range (1879-1952), a government geologist and amateur botanist in the former SWA (Namibia). He collected extensively but particularly in southern Namibia
